ChatGPT Introduces New Privacy Hub for Enhanced User Control

OpenAI, the creator of the popular AI chatbot ChatGPT, has begun rolling out a dedicated Privacy Center designed to give users more transparent and accessible control over their data. This new feature aims to simplify how individuals manage their privacy settings, a crucial aspect for the growing number of Indian users engaging with artificial intelligence tools daily.

The newly introduced Privacy Center acts as a central hub, clearly outlining the functions of various privacy controls available within ChatGPT. It also provides direct links, enabling users to effortlessly adjust these settings. The controls are logically organised into distinct categories, making the navigation and understanding of data management options much more intuitive for users.

This significant update is being progressively deployed across a broad spectrum of ChatGPT users. It is available to signed-in individuals utilising the Free, Go, Plus, Pro, and Business tiers of the service. The Privacy Center can be accessed through the web interface as well as on the dedicated ChatGPT applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring broad reach among Indian smartphone users.

However, it is important to note that this particular rollout does not extend to certain specialised versions of ChatGPT. Specifically, ChatGPT Enterprise, Edu, and ChatGPT for Healthcare users will not see this new Privacy Center at this time. This move underscores OpenAI's ongoing efforts to enhance user trust and data governance in its widely adopted AI product.
