India Slams Pakistan's 'Youm-e-Istehsal', Highlights Islamabad's Rights Record and Terrorism

India has strongly criticised Pakistan's observance of 'Youm-e-Istehsal', dismissing it as a calculated propaganda exercise aimed at diverting attention from Islamabad's own record of human rights violations and its deep-seated connections to terrorism. New Delhi's robust rebuttal came as Pakistan marked the day, which it frames as a protest against constitutional changes in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian government firmly reiterated that the constitutional amendments concerning Jammu and Kashmir are an internal matter, falling entirely within India's sovereign jurisdiction. It emphasised that these changes were enacted to further integrate the region and ensure development for its residents.

Furthermore, India highlighted that the international community is increasingly aware of the severe human rights situation prevailing in regions administered by Pakistan, particularly in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit-Baltistan. This counter-narrative underscores India's consistent stand against Pakistan's attempts to internationalise the Kashmir issue while allegedly neglecting its own populace.

New Delhi unequivocally urged Pakistan to cease its malicious propaganda against India and instead focus on resolving the ongoing internal unrest and bloodshed within its own borders. India also called upon Pakistan to relinquish its illegal occupation of Indian territories, specifically referring to PoK, asserting that these lands are an integral part of India.
