The 30-share BSE Sensex concluded the day’s trade with a notable increase of 262 points, settling at a higher level. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty also registered gains, reflecting the overall optimistic mood prevailing across various sectors.
Among the top performers within the Sensex basket, technology major HCLTech emerged as a significant gainer, surging by 5.79%. Another prominent IT services firm, Tech Mahindra, also contributed to the upward momentum, climbing by 1.81%, showcasing strength in the information technology sector.
The positive trend was not limited to IT stocks alone. Several other frontline companies also recorded advances. These included telecom giant Bharti Airtel, pharmaceutical major Sun Pharma, and financial services players Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Finance. Additionally, UltraTech Cement, Tata Steel, Tata Consultancy Services, and ICICI Bank were among the other constituents that closed in the green, indicating a widespread positive sentiment across diverse industries.
