NHRC Seeks Response from Karnataka Government Over Bengaluru Daycare Abuse Allegations

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken serious note of disturbing reports concerning alleged inhumane treatment of toddlers at a daycare facility located within an IT company's premises in Bengaluru. Acting on its own initiative, the human rights watchdog has issued a formal notice to the Karnataka government, seeking a detailed report on the matter.

The NHRC's intervention follows widespread media coverage detailing the alleged abuse. It has directed the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police, Karnataka, to submit a comprehensive report within four weeks.
