PM Modi: India's Economic Rise Benefits All, Driven by Strong Fundamentals
Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated India's economic growth is collaborative, not at the expense of others, citing strong Q1 growth, over $700 billion forex reserves, and key reforms.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently underscored India's economic trajectory, asserting that the nation's growth is inherently collaborative and not achieved at the expense of any other country. He emphasised that India's robust economic fundamentals serve as the bedrock for this inclusive development model, positioning the country as a significant and responsible global player.
During a recent address, the Prime Minister highlighted several key indicators demonstrating this strength. He pointed to India's impressive 7.8% economic growth rate recorded in the April-June quarter of the current fiscal year, marking it as one of the fastest among major economies. This figure, he noted, reflects strong domestic demand and resilient economic activity despite global headwinds.
Further illustrating India's economic stability, PM Modi cited the nation's substantial foreign exchange reserves, which have comfortably exceeded the $700 billion mark. Such healthy reserves provide a crucial buffer against external shocks and reinforce investor confidence in the Indian economy. He stressed that these reserves are a testament to prudent economic management.
The Prime Minister also drew attention to the extensive structural reforms undertaken by the government across various sectors. These include significant overhauls in taxation, the implementation of a comprehensive insolvency framework, and progressive changes to labour laws. These reforms, he explained, are designed to enhance the ease of doing business, attract investment, and foster sustainable long-term growth.
Modi's remarks reinforce India's commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial global economic environment. By growing "with the world," India aims to contribute to global prosperity while ensuring its own development is built on strong, sustainable principles, rather than pursuing a narrow, competitive agenda. This approach is central to India's vision for its role on the international stage.
