Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 Leaked Details Hint at Design Overhaul, Pricing

Details regarding Samsung's forthcoming location tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag 3, have reportedly surfaced online, offering a glimpse into its potential design, colour options, and expected pricing. These leaks suggest a significant refresh for the device, which is anticipated to launch soon, building on the popularity of its predecessors in the connected device ecosystem.

The leaked images indicate a distinctive "squircle" shape for the SmartTag 3, featuring a circular element prominently in its centre. This design marks a notable departure from its predecessors' more rectangular form factors. Early indications suggest the tracker will be available in classic Black and White colourways, aligning with Samsung's typical accessory offerings.

A notable design change highlighted by the leaks is the apparent absence of a built-in attachment hole. If accurate, this could mean users would need to acquire a separate case or accessory to easily attach the SmartTag 3 to items like keychains, backpacks, or luggage, a departure from the integrated loops found on previous SmartTag models.

Regarding pricing, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 is reportedly set to cost approximately EUR 45.95 in European markets, which translates to roughly ₹5,100. For the United States, the price is expected to remain consistent with its predecessor at $29.99, or about ₹2,900. This regional price variation, often influenced by local taxes and market dynamics, could mean a varied price point for Indian consumers upon launch.

Further lending credence to an imminent release, the device has reportedly received certification in South Korea. This regulatory approval often precedes a product's official announcement and market availability, suggesting Samsung may unveil the Galaxy SmartTag 3 in the near future, potentially expanding its smart tracking solutions for users globally, including India.
