Binance Unveils Bitcoin-Backed 'Lite Loan' for Short-Term Crypto Borrowing
Global crypto exchange Binance has launched Lite Loan, a new service allowing users to borrow up to 1,000 USDT using Bitcoin as collateral.

Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has rolled out a new lending product named 'Lite Loan', offering a streamlined option for users to secure short-term capital. This service enables eligible individuals to borrow up to 1,000 Tether (USDT) by utilising Bitcoin (BTC) as collateral. The initiative aims to provide a flexible liquidity solution for crypto enthusiasts, including those in India navigating the digital asset space.
Under the Lite Loan programme, users can pledge their Bitcoin holdings to obtain USDT, a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. A notable feature of this offering is that the collateralised Bitcoin remains eligible to earn rewards through Binance's Simple Earn Flexible products. This allows borrowers to maintain their crypto asset exposure and potential earnings while accessing immediate funds.
A key differentiator for Lite Loan, compared to Binance's existing standard loan products, is its embedded protection against liquidation. For the initial 30 days of the loan term, borrowers are shielded from the risk of their collateral being sold off due to adverse price movements in Bitcoin. This feature provides a crucial buffer, offering users greater stability and peace of mind during market volatility.
