AGICL Invites Architectural Firms for Amaravati Capital Projects
A state-owned corporation has invited architectural firms to join its panel for the ongoing development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh's ambitious capital city.

The Amaravati Government Infrastructure Corporation Limited (AGICL) has initiated a process to empanel architectural firms for its extensive capital development projects in Amaravati. This move is part of the ongoing efforts to transform Amaravati into a world-class capital city for Andhra Pradesh, signalling a significant push in its urban development agenda.
The invitation for empanelment seeks to enlist qualified architectural practices capable of contributing to a wide array of infrastructure and building projects. Firms that successfully join the panel will be eligible to bid for or undertake design and consultancy assignments crucial to the city's planned expansion. This strategic step aims to ensure a pool of expert talent for the various architectural requirements of the nascent capital.
Amaravati's development vision is ambitious, with nearly 100 infrastructure projects already in various stages of implementation. These projects represent a substantial investment, valued at over ₹56,000 crore. The ongoing works encompass a broad spectrum of urban necessities, from government buildings and public utilities to residential and commercial zones, all designed to establish a modern, functional capital.
This latest call for architectural expertise underscores the state's commitment to expediting the construction of its new administrative hub. The large-scale investment and the methodical approach to engaging top-tier design professionals are expected to accelerate the realisation of Amaravati's master plan, contributing significantly to regional economic growth and setting a benchmark for future urban development in India.
