Kochi Hosts India's Maiden 'Op Southern Readiness' Maritime Exercise with 26 Nations

India has commenced its inaugural 'Op Southern Readiness' maritime exercise in Kochi, Kerala, marking a significant milestone in regional defence cooperation. The multi-national drill brings together naval forces from 26 nations, underscoring India's growing role as a pivotal player in Indo-Pacific security.

This maiden operation, hosted by India, aims to enhance interoperability, foster maritime domain awareness, and strengthen collective capabilities in addressing common security challenges.
